Angela and Vanessa go through some of Justine's old beauty shots, taking special note of the fake beauty mark she sported. Rev and Justine quickly join in and Justine reminisces about how much she loved that fake mole. When Justine suggests rocking the beauty mark again, Rev points out that those pictures were taken a long time ago...not exactly the response Justine was hoping for!
Before taking the boys to the orthodontist, Justine decides to try out the beauty mark again. She heard Rev's comments about how great she looked in the old pictures and the mole makes her feel that beautiful again. Rev, however, thinks it just makes Justine look like she's got an ant walking across her face.
The girls also take note of Justine's new beauty mark when she comes downstairs. She talks about how the boys used to touch her face and mess up the fake mole when they were younger and Vanessa and Angela see a solution to that problem: Justine should get a permanent beauty mark! Justine seems intrigued, but doesn't think Rev will go for it.
JoJo and Diggy pull out an old box from the basement and discover a croquet set. JoJo and Diggy are mystified by all the equipment, but Russy knows all the proper terms. When JoJo mentions their upcoming visit to the orthodontist, Diggy brags that he's getting his braces off but Russy might not be so lucky. Of course, the orthodontist hasn't confirmed this, but Diggy's certain he'll get his off first since he's older.
As fate would have it, Justine and the boys return home to let Rev know that one of the boys is getting his braces off. But just as Rev is congratulating Diggy, Russy jumps in and announces that he's the one who's braces are coming off. Diggy will only need his on for a few more months, but Russy relishes the rare opportunity to tease his older brother.
Later in bed, Justine brings up the idea of getting a permanent beauty mark. Rev hates the idea of getting a tattoo, but Justine insists that if they decide to get it done she'd be going to a beauty parlor and not a tattoo shop to have the procedure done.
Angela and Vanessa reminisce about the "little man" Diggy's become -- especially since the days when they changed his diapers, which doesn't exactly make Diggy feel manly! Russy barges into the room sporting a fake pair of lips and teeth, to tell his sisters the news about his braces. The girls realize that's why Diggy's seemed so bummed, but council him to let Russy be happy about the news.
Justine comes downstairs sporting several beauty marks, further befuddling Rev. She explains that she's trying to decide which one she'd want permanently and asks Rev which he likes best. Rev points out that if God had wanted her to have a mole, she'd have a mole. Still, Justine claims that after only two days of sporting the beauty marks, she already feels better about herself. But Rev's not budging on his anti-tattoo stance.
Diggy seeks advice from JoJo, who's experimenting with the croquet set in the backyard. Diggy admits that he really really wants his braces off too and that Russy's constant teasing is getting to him. JoJo thinks Diggy should just be patient and wait for his teeth to be perfect, but suggests his brother talk to Rev if he's really in need of advice.
When he goes to Rev, Diggy tries to play it off like Russy's not bothering him and he just really wants to get his braces off. Rev tells Diggy the same thing JoJo did -- that he has to be patient if he wants a straight and perfect smile. After all, what can Rev do about the situation? He's not an orthodontist!
Russy looks over some of the old pictures with Justine and asks her about the reappearing beauty mark. When she tells Russy she might get a permanent one, his response is "Oh my god, don't! Why do you want that fly on your face?" Rev is glad to have another family member on his side and urges Justine to really think about it before she makes the mole permanent. Justine holds up one of the old pictures and asks what Russy would think if she showed up at parent-teacher conferences looking that way. Like Rev, Russy points out that the picture was taken a long time ago but reassures his mom that she still "kind of " looks that way now.
Fed up with the mole situation, Rev asks Angela and Vanessa why they'd even suggest Justine get a permanent one. The girls claim they didn't talk Justine into anything, but that maybe their mom wants to "spice things up." They tell Rev that if he really wants to distract Justine from the mole, he needs to be "Rico Suave" and charm her with some romance. Rev doesn't like the girls interfering with his love life or suggesting that he's to blame for Justine's desire to get the mole. He doesn't need to be Rico Suave -- he's "Rev Rizzle!"
Russy's big day has finally arrived and of course, he continues to rub it in Diggy's face. Seeing Diggy's bummed expression, Justine gives him a kiss and promises that he'll be next. In an attempt to cheer him up, Rev takes Diggy to Ben and Jerry's for some ice cream. Diggy sulks for a while, but Rev shouts loud jokes over the noise of the blender until Diggy finally cracks a smile.
Rev and Diggy are telling the Ben and Jerry's story to the rest of the family when Russy returns with his hood pulled over his face in shame. Fortunately, he's just kidding around and quickly shows off his braces-free smile that even Diggy has to admire. JoJo encourages Russy to show off his pearly whites to Diggy even more, but Russy announces that he's not going to tease Diggy any more.
As Justine looks up picture of Cindy Crawford and her beauty mark, Rev comes in to give her a giant bouquet of flowers. She loves the flowers, but knows what Rev is up to. Rev admits that it's ultimately Justine's decision but that he really doesn't want her to get it because she doesn't need it. He even offers to take her out on the town and "spice things up" if that will help. Justine worries that Rev's doing "Jedi mind tricks" on her, but agrees to put the beauty mark on hold while they get the flowers in water.
Later that night, Rev ponders whether Diggy will be patient or if he might just try and remove the braces himself. Justine points out that if Diggy had gotten his braces off first, Russy would be doing the same thing. She then tells Rev that he was right about getting a permanent mole. Besides, she can always draw one on herself and continue to test out different spots for it.
"Is beauty more than skin deep? You bet it is. While physical attraction is pleasing to the eye, it's the beauty we can't see that's pleasing to the heart. Remember, there's nothing more attractive than inner-beauty. God is love."
